Adenosine triphosphate aka ATP: What is it?
Adenosine triphosphate or ATP is "the energy currency of life." It's the only chemical in the body that can be directly used as energy.
It's also the main source of energy in all living cells. It's what the energy in your food is turned into so it can fuel all of your body's processes.
Most importantly, it plays a key role in your metabolism and how energetic you feel.
How do Cordyceps improve your Metabolism?
Cordyceps is regarded as a tonifying herb with both 'Yin-nourishing' and 'Yang-invigorating' actions in Chinese medicine. Cordyceps is known for increasing the production of the ATP in the body, which is responsible for delivering energy to the muscles. The usage of oxygen is especially important when you exercise. Pharmacological studies have shown that Cordyceps possesses a wide spectrum of biological activities including antioxidation, boosted immunity, and anti-inflammation effects.
Increasing ATP helps the body perform better and increases metabolism overall.
